The Construction Value Chain
Customers buy on their perception of value, and when companies do not differentiate themselves in the eyes of the buyer, they force the customer to buy solely based on price. To improve results, conduct an objective analysis of your company’s strengths and then match them to the right market sectors and targets, capitalize on shared values with your customers, learn how to communicate your core competencies to create the best value for your customers and company, and separate customer value points from selling price. Session highlights include:

  • Understanding the meaning of differentiation and recognize why it is important ;
  • Determining what makes your company different;
  • Identifying which market sectors and clients generate the most margins;
  • Determining why you are constantly fighting for space in the mind of the customer; and
  • Developing a structured communications plan to help you stand apart from your competition.

Michael Clancy, Principal, FMI Corporation
