The standard contains three<br \/>\ntypes, classified primarily by maximum-use temperature and density.<\/span><\/p>\n<p BasicParagraph><span 'font-size:11.0pt;:120%;\nfont-family:\"Calibri\",\"sans-serif\";color:windowtext'>The standard limits<br \/>\nthe operating temperature between 80\u00b0 and 1,700\u00b0F.<\/span><\/p>\n<p BasicParagraph><b><span 'font-size:11.0pt;:120%;\nfont-family:\"Calibri\",\"sans-serif\";color:windowtext'>Calcium Silicate<br \/>\nInsulation Products<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p BasicParagraph><span 'font-size:11.0pt;:120%;\nfont-family:\"Calibri\",\"sans-serif\";color:windowtext'>Calcium Silicate pipe<br \/>\ninsulation is supplied as hollow cylinder shapes, split in half lengthwise, or<br \/>\nas curved segments. Pipe insulation sections typically are supplied in lengths<br \/>\nof 36&#8243; and are available in sizes to fit most standard pipe sizes. Available<br \/>\nthicknesses range from 1&#8243; to 3&#8243; (in one layer). Thicker insulation is supplied<br \/>\nas nested sections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p BasicParagraph><span 'font-size:11.0pt;:120%;\nfont-family:\"Calibri\",\"sans-serif\";color:windowtext'>Calcium Silicate<br \/>\nblock insulation is supplied as flat sections in lengths of 36&#8243;; widths of 6&#8243;,<br \/>\n12&#8243;, and 18&#8243;; and thickness from 1&#8243; to 4&#8243;. Grooved block is available for<br \/>\nfitting block to large-diameter curved surfaces.<\/span><\/p>\n<p BasicParagraph><span 'font-size:11.0pt;:120%;\nfont-family:\"Calibri\",\"sans-serif\";color:windowtext'>Special shapes, such<br \/>\nas valve or fitting insulation, can be fabricated from standard sections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p BasicParagraph><span 'font-size:11.0pt;:120%;\nfont-family:\"Calibri\",\"sans-serif\";color:windowtext'>Calcium Silicate is<br \/>\nnormally finished with a metal or fabric jacket for appearance and weather<br \/>\nprotection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p BasicParagraph><span 'font-size:11.0pt;:120%;\nfont-family:\"Calibri\",\"sans-serif\";color:windowtext'>The specified<br \/>\nmaximum thermal conductivity for Type I is 0.41 Btu-in\/(h?ft\u00b2?\u00b0F) at a mean<br \/>\ntemperature of 100\u00b0F.
