Is NIA's Education Center free for NIA members?

Yes. Beginning in 2027, access to NIA's Education Center is included with NIA membership at no additional cost. 

Do I need a separate subscription?

No. Starting in 2027, a separate subscription is no longer required. Access comes with your company's NIA membership. 

How many courses are in NIA's Education Center?

NIA's Education Center offers more than 100 on-demand courses and 5 educational tracks, with new content added throughout the year. 

Can you start a course and finish it later?

Yes! You can start and stop a course as needed. You can also replay a course you’ve already seen.

How will we know when new content has been added?

There are a few places to learn about new content when it becomes available. The home page of the Education Center found here: niaeducationcenter.org will have featured courses at the bottom. We will also be publishing a subscriber newsletter twice a year to include new courses. You can also find new course information in NIA’s E-News Bulletins.

Which courses do you recommend for new employees or individuals who are new to the industry?

There are a few courses recommended for new employees: Mechanical Insulation Basics, Mechanical Insulation Installation Video Series, Protective Covering Types, and Mechanical Insulation Shapes or Forms. These are just a few suggestions to get you started!

How long are the courses?

Courses range from a few minutes to a few hours and can be taken at any time. 

Who is the training designed for?

The training is designed for anyone in the mechanical insulation industry, including estimators, project managers, insulators, safety professionals, company leaders, and HR and IT staff. 

I have completed a course, but it is not showing completed on my profile. How can I get this to say 100% completed?

If you have completed a course, but your progress still does not show 100% completion, double check the following:

1. That you have click on the “Learn How to Subscribe to the Education Center” link at the end of every course.
2. If a course specifically has a “Copyright and Disclaimers” slide in the course, please make sure you have clicked and read this information.

Where can I find my certificates?

Locate the “Certificates” tab next to the “My activity” tab under your name. By making sure to select “All-Time” in the gray drop down menu and then selecting “load transcript” you can see all the certificates you have earned from the Education Center and any NIA Certification Programs you may have attended.

How do I log in?

Visit www.niaeducationcenter.org and click “Sign In” in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Use your email that is used to receive NIA communications. Enter your password to access the portal.

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in page, there is an option to click “Forget your password?” to receive an email to reset your password.

How do I track my progress in NIA's Education Center?

Select the "Profile" link in the top navigation of any page. Your profile shows which courses you have completed and any certificates available for you to download. 

Where can I download my course certificates?

Certificates are available in your profile. Select the "Profile" link in the top navigation of any page to view and download the certificates you have earned.
