NIA Advises Members of Unauthorized Third-Party Solicitations

Reston, VA—November 2, 2017—The National Insulation Association® (NIA) has recently been made aware of 2 unauthorized third-party solicitations related to Reed Exhibitions’ Insulation Expo (IEX) USA and NIA’s 63rd Annual Convention.

IEX USA Attendee List Email Solicitation
NIA members may have received an email solicitation incorrectly suggesting that Reed Exhibitions’ IEX USA 2017 attendee contact information may be available for purchase. Please know that if you do receive any solicitation of this kind, it is from a third party who is unrelated to Reed Exhibitions. For security purposes, NIA encourages you to delete or ignore emails of this kind. Reed Exhibitions has confirmed that no attendee contact information for IEX USA is shared with third parties and has sent a notice to the third party to cease and desist these false communications.

NIA’s 63rd Annual Convention Travel Scam Notification
As previously announced on October 6, several NIA members have received a phone solicitation from at least one third-party company attempting to encourage members to make hotel reservations through them. This is an illegitimate scam and should be ignored. We appreciate our members taking the time to notify us about this.

NIA members can register for NIA’s 63rd Annual Convention through NIA’s website (www.insulation.org/Convention2018). Attendees should only make their hotel reservations online by clicking here or directly through the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress by calling 1-888-421-1442 and mentioning they are with the National Insulation Association.

For any questions, please email events@insulation.org or call 703-464-6422.
