NIA’s Convention schedule is designed to offer a variety of evening events and entertainment, as well as open time to allow attendees the opportunity to schedule their own meetings.

New & First-Time Member Orientation

NIA members are paramount to the success and future of our organization, and it is important that first-time Convention attendees and new members are current on the benefits afforded to them through NIA membership. Get introduced to a NIA mentor, learn how to get the most out of Convention, and find out which events will be beneficial for your business type. This invitation-only orientation includes an overview of how NIA serves its members and the mechanical insulation industry, and introduces our new members and first-time attendees to NIA’s staff, committee members, and association leaders. If you are a first-time Convention attendee, be sure to check the “First Convention” box when you register.

Convention First-Timers Happy Hour

If this is your first NIA Convention, be sure to RSVP to this invitation-only cocktail reception, where you will have the opportunity to network with NIA leadership and industry leaders, and also enjoy getting to know fellow members of NIA. An invitation is required to attend this event. To ensure you receive your invitation, be sure to check the "First Convention" box when you register.

Welcome and Appreciation Evening

Prepare to be transported to paradise for an unforgettable evening under the palm trees! Immerse yourself in a lively, island-inspired atmosphere with a steel drum band, delicious cocktails, and a coconut carver station! Make sure to stop by and see the live mural honoring NIA’s 70th Convention and add your contribution to this memorable art piece!

There is something for everyone at this family-friendly event, which includes a full dinner and an open bar. This event will take place outdoors, and suggested attire is resort casual. This is the perfect opportunity to unwind, create new connections, and catch up with friends! We can't wait to welcome you to this slice of paradise.

Farewell Reception & Dinner 

Join us for the finale of NIA’s Convention! This event includes a cocktail reception, a full meal with an open bar, and a last opportunity to network with Convention attendees! We will also celebrate outgoing NIA President Rick Sutphin of Performance Contracting this evening! After the event concludes, we will continue the evening’s festivities at the Dessert Hospitality Suites. The attire for this event is dressy casual/resort wear (for example, slacks/button-down shirts for men, and pants outfit or dresses for women).

Hosted Dessert Hospitality Suites

Immediately following the Farewell Dinner, participating Associate (Manufacturer) member companies will tempt you with unique desserts and hosted bars. Attendees will have the opportunity to enter into a drawing for a special raffle prize this evening by visiting each hosted suite and completing the dessert bingo raffle card. Plan to visit each suite and enjoy sweet treats, marvelous concoctions, and extra networking time with your industry friends!

All Convention sessions and evening events are casual—khakis, golf shirts, etc. are recommended.
