Women in Insulation: Building Connections, Elevating Careers

Women in Insulation (WII) is a professional network established in 2024 to connect and elevate women across all facets of the insulation industry. Founded in Houston, Texas, with plans to expand nationwide, the organization encourages women in construction trades and building materials by fostering leadership, mentorship, and career growth.
When sharing what WII brings to its members and the insulation industry, President Marissa Davis (Ideal Products) and Treasurer Ginny Gier (Owens Corning) emphasized the connections and camaraderie the group has forged in a short time. Gier is especially proud of seeing women from all career stages at WII events, which she hopes will show various career paths in the insulation industry. Looking at her own career, Gier has had incredible allies and would like to pass that support forward. Davis agreed, noting that through shared
experiences and strong networking relationships, members can gain confidence, clarity, and a greater sense of belonging within the insulation community.
As WII continues to grow, the organization aims to serve as a long-term resource to provide networking opportunities to build meaningful industry relationships, professional development resources and events, mentorship programs to inspire the next generation of leaders, and community engagement to amplify women’s voices in insulation.
“My hope is that women involved in WII walk away feeling more connected—to each other, to the industry, and to their own potential,” Davis said.
Additional WII officers include Vice President Paige Whitton of Brock Services, Secretary Megan Orum of Distribution International, and Membership Chair Jennifer Ball of Integrated Marketing Group.
