Established in 1997, the Foundation was previously a committee within NIA. Funded by voluntary contributions the Foundation, throughout its history, has focused on data and resource development, establishing relationship with numerous industry and governmental organizations to promote mechanical insulation, and creating education and training opportunities for the industry and its outside audiences.
